child maintenance
Entgegen des Hinweises, dass es sich nicht um Kindesunterhalt handelt, bin ich sicher, dass child maintenance oder child support hier trifft. Der Definition nach ist child support nämlich eben der Unterhalt, der nach einer Scheidung an denjenigen Elternteil gezahlt wird, der sich um die Erziehung des gemeinsamen Kindes kümmert: "Child maintenance is paid directly or indirectly by an obligor to an obligee for the care and support of children of a relationship that has been terminated (cf. Wikipedia on "child support").

Child care maintenance
Hope this helps a little.
Hi I'm not so sure about the differences in other coutries, but if this going by German law, the I believe
Child maintenance is paid to the child
Child care maintenance is paid to the carer
The names seems to be different from country to country, but in my opinion this is the main difference in the German principle.
Below links to the laws governing Kindesunterhalt und Betreuungsunterhalt.

In any case: Kindesunterhalt is paid to the child or to someone else on behalf of the child. The entitlement is the main question here, I think.
