German term

Selbstbeteiligung

Is "selbstbeteiligung" a "co-payment" or a "deductable"?

Thanks, TK. If this is to be read by visitors to Germany, the British contingent are going to be rather puzzled by 'deductible'. It sounds like something they can claim back on tax.
agree Gert Sass (M.A.) : for the U.K.

agree Adrian MM. (X) : deductible is used in UK re-insurance, so won't puzzle the Lloyds of London contingent. Also www.proz.com/?sp=gloss/term&id=546288
