{fire} suppression system
How I would say it if it is talking about those "pipes near the ceiling" systems. An extinguisher, to me, is one of those red canisters hanging on the wall and are used immediately, not after 10 s, usually.
And I might go with something like:
The fire suppression system may only respond after ...

My previous comment (agree) was supposed to refer to the asker's comment, that something was missing.
If built into the ceiling would it be a sprinkler system?

: not totally clear from the text - some of these systems also involve automatic shutting of fire doors.

Just a suggestion :
Maybe an error in the source text? VORWARNZEIT as a time frame between
the signal [fire bell rings] and the "SHOW"

Another suggestion:
If the suggested error is in the form of a missing "UMLAUF"[aka vorwaermzeit] , also not very "HOCHDEUTSCH" this would lead to the
assumption of the presence of bimetallic heat sensors .

Thanks. That was my feeling, but I am not a native German, so anything is possible! |
