German term

e.h.

German to English Medical General / Conversation / Greetings / Letters Abbreviation
Context is in patient's discharge report, as part of the heading:
"Patientenbrief e.h. 07-07-2008"
Duden Woerterbuch der Abkuerzungen gives "eigenhaendig" (Oesterreich) - appropriate in this case as the report comes from a Viennese hospital).
So presumably this means something like "delivered by hand"? Or would it rather mean that the report is personal?

Jonathan MacKerron Nov 20, 2008:
could be abbreviation for the patient's name e.g. Edith Head
