: I think this works out fine!! or perhaps interment???//I agree with you. Due to certain climatic conditions, however, you can find bodies that were previously buried - happens in California BTW where there are mudslides

Thanks - but I don' think that "interment" is correct; you cannot "auffinden" a corpse which has been buried.

Comment: ""post-mortem interval" makes the least assumptions about what happened with the deceased since the time of death - which is the crucial point in my context. Other sources have also suggested "time since death", but the Latin phrase suits scientific style (IMHO). Thanks you all!"
