German term

beschleunigtes Angebotsverfahren

German to English Bus/Financial Finance (general) Annual Report
Hi everybody,

I got stuck on an annual report with 'beschleunigtes Angebotsverfahren'.

I seem to remember that the term is 'accelerated bookbuilding process' but would be grateful if one of the experts could either confirm or provide me with the correct term.

Many thanks in advance!

Gisela

Sorry for upsetting you - I did indeed check with three professionals on this list and others and I have to use UK English. I shall keep your suggestion in mind for when I have to use US English. Many thanks!
TechLawDC Nov 9, 2007:
If you want US English not UK English, you might want to check with a professional if "accelerated private placement bidding" is not better usage. But of course you have already closed the question after somewhat less than 1 day.

THANK YOU! Robin - thank you so much for confirming. I suddenly got confused, because it sounded so, well - so 'German'...
RobinB Nov 9, 2007:
Gisela - confirming that your own suggestion is absolutely right here.
gwm (asker) Nov 9, 2007:
shares + capital increase oops, sorry - should have added, that this is about shares beeing offered for a capital increase. The full sentence: 'Im Rahmen des beschleunigten Angebotsverfahrens wurden insgesamt xxxxx Aktien bei internationalen institutionellen Anlegern platziert.'

Nothing to do with bidding on contracts?

accelerated tender process

this is what came to mind but without the exact context it's difficult to say...
Note from asker:
Many thanks - yes, I forgot to add that it is about share capital increase. Sorry.

accelerated .....

The accelerated part is certainly correct but is it "accelerated offer procedure (or process)." Book-building exists only in the financial world; "offer" exists in the manufacturing world.

"Offer procedure" can be used in your context (now revealed!!)
Note from asker:
Many thanks for your answers - but if 'offer' exists in the manufacturing world and 'bookbuilding' in the financial world, I would rather use bookbuilding with shares.
