I tend to think that an "abridged business report" would entail a verbal description of conditions and ambitions, e.g. “sales were up for the last quarter, but we anticipate further strength in the industry, blah, blah”. The same goes for "brief". On the other hand if we are only speaking about set of figures, e.g. revenues, amortization, taxes, total, etc, I'm not sure you would call that a "report", but maybe in some places they do.
