German term

ausblenden (Statusleiste)

German to English Tech/Engineering Computers: Software software
Blendet die Statusleiste ein bzw. aus, indem Sie auf den Begriff "Statusleiste" klicken

Referring to a command. What is the proper term for ausblenden here? I see several options in dictionaries including comment out, mask-off and extract, but I don't know which if any are correct in this context.

to hide

Usually, I translate "to hide" as ausblenden because verstecken sounds awkward in German.
