German term
Lastschlagdämpfung
German to English
Tech/Engineering
Automotive / Cars & Trucks
Engine control system
This is from an engineering document describing various interactions between the vehicle's engine control system and the gearbox box control system.
----
----
There are entries on ProZ for this in other language pairs, but I didn't find an English-German post. Leo and a couple of other online dictionaries give both "Bonanza effect" and "Ferraria effect", with 219 and 28 Google hits respectively. I was tempted by "Bonanza effect damping", but this doesn't get even a single hit. I did find "torque shock damping" here http://www.freshpatents.com/Disk-for-a-multi-disk-clutch-and... but that reads like a pretty poor translation.
Thanks in advance for your thoughts.

don't know it there is a special term available. But in my opinion it has to do with a sort of shock absorbing?
Note from asker:
Thanks for the suggestion. I think there may well be a specialist term for this in English too. |
