Non-PRO French to English Other
what does it mean in english language

Discussion

Gayle Wallimann Oct 9, 2003:
Is that all, or are there more words following this phrase? It could be "J'adore, tu sais..." or any number of possibilities if there is another verb following "tu" in the sentence.

\"J\'adore tu\" doesn\'t mean anything - presumably it\'s supposed to say \"je t\'adore\", which means \"I adore/love you\".
Peer comment(s):

agree Hazel Whiteley : but presumably it should be "je t'adore"

agree Rowan Morrell : That's my interpretation of it. It's probably a bad translation of English in the first place.

French term (edited): J'adore tu

contexte?

ce n'est pas une phrase "normale".
En francais on dit "Je t'adore" comme contraction de "j'adore toi".
Quel est donc le contexte ici ?
Peer comment(s):

agree writeaway : there is never context with such questions-just someone messing around with the site

this is pidgin for: "I love you" or "I'm crazy about you..."

it may be a stupid machine translation literraly translating the order of: I love/adore you...

Je t'adore = I adore you

It sounds like incorrect French. The right wording is "Je t'adore" The exact translation is "I adore you".
