machine expenditures/investments
placements machines is just = our machine investments (as in placements financières, meaning the type of investment)
investment = An expenditure to acquire an asset that is expected to yield future revenue or service.
placement = Affectation d'une somme d'argent à l'achat de valeurs mobilières ou immobilières. Termium

as Steven mentions, the case may be about placing machines with clients but ***placement is usually about people, not machines
\"placing\" is better (placing of machines) and much clearer (only my opinion)

deployment, rollout (buzz word for implementation) or just simply *machine orders*
I imagine \"placement\" could be used...but the meaning can be confused with \"investment\" or \"expenditure\"

Steven Geller
: it has nothing to do with investments

oh really ? You can invest in a washing machine or a computer - mes placements machines/informatiques à moi sont les ordinateurs que j'ai acheté ou me suis procuré

USER0034 (X)
: totally disagree, Steven is right, this context has to do with distribution /sales not investments

machine distribution/sales
is more appropriate .... the first part says "to boost ...operations...the sentence goes on to say they will offer two product lines..it's logical they are talking about selling their product (machines) and not talking about investing in (buying) new ones
I would translate as such:
To boost the development of our machine distribution operations,we will make a comprehensive offer consisting of two product lines.

Meri Buettner
: very clear (though I originally thought that they were talking about the machines they already had - not new ones)

Steven Geller
: the machines are not sold--they are "placed", and customarily the owner of the machine (vending machine company) pays a commission to the owner of the property.

You might not have noticed that i proposed a translation of the complete sentence where i used distribution and not sales..but you're comment to my answer leaves me wondering where in the context you saw anything about vending machines?

distribution machines
Basically, I agree with Steven, but I think the sentence is about the equipment, not about the action to select a location. (I know the word order is strange, but it occurs in professional slang, doesn't it?)

USER0034 (X)
: a distribution (vending) machine is called a "machine distributrice" in French
