French term

avec respect de

French to English Medical Medical (general)
This is from a medical report, and I know that ordinarily, "respect de" would mean no loss or disruption to, but I'm not sure if it means the same thing in this context:

La radiographie ainsi que le scanner montrent une fracture-tassement de L1 inférieur á 20% avec respect de la cyphose locale, absence de sténose canalaire et avec atteine du mur postérieur.

Does this simply mean that there was no kyphosis as a result of the fracture?

Thanks in advance!

Yes I agree with your reading.

I am reading this very differently from the others.

The patient has kyphosis (hunch back) which of course is a distortion of the spine.
The measurement of the fracture is taking this into account in to arrive at "20%".
