You will also note that this sentence does not make sense, i.e. the part "la préhension la section de la trompe", but this is how it appears in the text.

I would be grateful for help regarding the term I have posted, plusdeciphering the meaning of the sentence..

Thanks - in fact the Endo-GIA is a cutting stapler - other brands have no-knife (NK) and knife versions

I believe this means "in two stages...." "in two tries" sounds as though the surgeon doesn't know precisely what he is doing. And from the looks of the report I have, the surgeon knows exactly what he is doing, phew!

I believe it's "la préhension et la section". The Endo-GIA stapler has a knife attachment for resection.
