I understand this as "leaning towards th1 or Th2 type T helper cells", or in other words with primary activation/hyperplasia of Th1 or Th2 cells, respectively.

The reference above suggests that both the antigen used (LPS vs ovalbumin) and its amount can lead to a respones that is primarily a Th1 or a Th2 response.
