français term

gradient RV-OD

français vers anglais Sciences Médecine (général) doppler report
Trying to work out what OD might stand for in "TRICUSPIDE: Gradient VD-OD"...right something? Nearest I could find on Google, searching for "doppler + tricuspid + gradient + RV" was "RV-RA gradient", right ventricle-right atrial gradient, which doesn't seem right, so to speak, anyway. Can anyone clarify this for me? TIA.

"The pressure gradient between the right atrium and right ventricle obtained at the time of pulmonary valve opening ranged from 9 to 31 mm Hg (mean, 19 ± 5) and correlated closely with invasively measured pulmonary artery diastolic pressure (range, 9 to 36 mm Hg; mean, 21 ± 7 mm Hg; r = 0.92; SEE, 1.9 mm Hg)."

Sarah: you have "RV-OD" in the heading of your question, but "VD-OD" in the body... my answer assumes that you "accidentally" translated VD to RV when you posted your question.
Note from asker:
Apologies, Rachel, you are quite right--I accidentally typed RV-OD instead of VD-OD. And you have answered my question. I'll wait 24 hours to grade, but many thanks.

agree cmorin : right atrial- ventricular gradient

neutral Maurice Thibaux : I would agree with you but how do you explain R.V. It should be V.D. ?

she uses "RV" in the heading but "VD" in the body of the question
agree Dr Sue Levy (X) : yes, Sarah's on her head Down Under which explains the RV/VD ;-)
