French term

je ne... que si...

French to English Law/Patents Law (general)
My rusty French prevents me from grasping the full meaning of the following sentence:

Je ne plaiderai le 17 mars que si le contenu de votre écriture m'y contraint.

An explanation would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance!

Martin

agree Pamela Boutin-Bird : This is a conditional form phrase which corresponds with our own conditional use of future tense and if in English.
