This appears in a cooperation agreement between two divisions of the same company group and comes under the section on project performance incentives:
Au titre de l'incitation collective, il est convenu que les BGs verseront à *** au prorata du chiffre d'affaires réalisé par *** pour leur compte, et en fonction des performances effectivement réalisées sur leurs projets respectifs, un montant total correspondant au maximum au **complément de l'assiette d'intéressement** (pour mémoire 60% en 2012) après plafonnement de la participation et de l'intéressement selon les règles du Groupe.
I don't understand what they're getting at in the part between asterisks. I know an assiette can be a range, but I don't quite see how that fits in here.
BGs is business groups.
I'd be grateful for any insights.

You don't need the term "profit-sharing" in any case. It's an incentive scheme, and the 'assiette' is the basis for calculating the payouts.
