French term
Pompage Turbinage Simultané (PTS) / le pompage réglant
French to English
Tech/Engineering
Energy / Power Generation
Hydroelectric power
Hi
context:
The only equivalent I can find in English is Submersible Turbine Pump STP, are they the same thing. And if so, how is pompage réglant translated

Simultaneous Turbine Pumping / regulated pumping
The information explains: 'The regulated pumping involves making a regulated Pelto turbine work at the same time as other pumps with a fixed power setting. Seen with an electric circuit, the power which is drawn or extracted by the pumps can be adjusted as required.'

Thanks, so do you think that Pompage Turbinage and pompage réglant have the same meaning, i.e. pumped storage? |

: So water is being pumped uphill and flowing downhill through turbines at the same time. I can't find a term for this - something like simultaneous pumped storage?

Pumped storage and "turbinage" [operation of the Pelton turbine, which generates power] occur at the same time. I don't know the English term either.

Discussion
Wilsonn: this is OK, since the two terms mean the same thing.
