The problem is verrinage - anyone out there who can help? Must admit I am totally stumped! These are specs for transforms for a steel mill that will be mounted on tracks...

jacking-up

I suspect it may even be a made-up verb, from 'vérin', presumably meaning to be jacked up using hydraulic jacks or screw feet? Could this possibly make sense in the overall mechanical logic of what you've got there?
Note from asker:
Yes, I had come up with the same theory - yet another 'invented' word! Well, life was never meant to be easy, was it? Thank you Tony

neutral kly : The word may be misspellt (it may be "vérinage"). Could you tell us more about the context?

Indeed! Though there are precedents for words in -ér- becoming -err- when turned into verbs. But I think it is a case of sloppy pronunciation and poor phonetic rendering.

verrinage does not exist
vérinage - definition from reverso dictionary - levage d'éléments lourds par des vérins
so lifting with cylinders
Note from asker:
Thank you! Indeed, in a perfect world our customers would be able to spell! Things have worsened considerably with voice dictated files! I think you, Tony and I all reached the same conclusion from different directions! Once again thanks!
