French term
unité de traitement avec valorisation thermique des déchets ménagers et assimil
French to English
Tech/Engineering
Energy / Power Generation
environment / recycling
This is a very long term, but I think it can be translated by a much conciser term in English. Would it be right to simply say 'Household (and similar) waste-to-energy plant'? Wondering whether I need to try and incorporate the 'thermique'.... or whether it would be understood?

Waste to energy plant for household and related waste/trash
Waste-to-energy plants always incinerate the trash. You don't need to put thermal.
"A waste-to-energy plant (WtE) is a modern term for an incinerator that burns wastes in high-efficiency furnace/boilers to produce steam and/or electricity and incorporates modern air pollution control systems and continuous emissions monitors. This type of incinerator is sometimes called an energy-from-waste (EfW).""In waste-to-energy plants, trash is burned to produce steam that can be used either to heat buildings or to generate electricity."

Comment: "Agreement says it all. Other answers and comments helpful too - especially use of 'domestic' in the term."

I used 'recovery' for 'valorisation' from eurodicautom
