French term

tuner FM/GO/PO

Non-PRO French to English Tech/Engineering Electronics / Elect Eng
I'm translating a catalogue and this describes a radio. I know what FM is, and that there is usually also AM. But, what is the English abbreviation for GO and for PO? Also, what are they?
Proposed translations (English)

agree Gayle Wallimann : You are absolutely right. There is a glossary at the end of this article that clearly gives the equivalence. http://www.e-radiotv.org/rsvp/Rvifinfo1c.pdf -

Please, do not choose this answer, I\'m wrong, David is right. Peties ondes is indeed MW (medium wave). The reference that I have given does say that it is SW, Short wave, but I have seen more references that support David\'s answer now that I\'ve looked into it.

Thank you.
disagree Bourth (X) : Short wave is "ondes courtes"

You are right, I've researched further and give my agree to David.
agree Hacene : Bourth is wrong because "petites" and "courtes" are synonyms

You may be right, but I still think that the translation should be MW in this case, not SW. Perhaps Marsha can tell from the text if it is referring to short waves or medium waves.

Comment: "As Gayle explained, the answer is really MW instead of SW. Marsha Bindel"
