Cardiovascular Medicine Fellowship
This phase is much similar to the 'Cardiovascular Medicine Fellowship' or 'Coordinator of Cardiac Medical Training'.
I found an article where the role of 'Cardiovascular Medicine Fellowship' is finely described for it's course:

: I don't see where you get "cardiovascular" (cardiovasculaire) or "fellowship" (stage or bourse) from.

Here "Coeur" is not "core" but "heart" so yes, cardiovascular.

: This is most unlikely. And your "it's" , "much similar" and "finely described" undermines your grasp of English

Head of core medical training.
So I'm sure you know best.
The asker says "It was written under his photo in a magazine." so, none of the magazines could lead to this mistranslation.
Have you Googled him? That might provide a clue.
