Chauffage par plafonds actifs Just came upon this segment in my current job and turned up this Kudoz entry in my search - not a direct answer to this question but definite confirmation of ceilings used for heating. Seems ludicrous to me - I'm sure warm air rises!!

@Mpoma Thanks for finding that, my search didn't turn it up! However, I don't think it is relevant, because I don't think this is a thermo-active ceiling and I'm also sure the heating panels in my 11-year old question weren't part of a "plafond actif". However, I'll find out more as I go through the document.

@Tony Thanks Tony. I don't yet know whether it's heat-radiating, but suspect it isn't because my experience of that sort of ceiling is they give people headaches and make them feel generally ill. I briefly considered calling it a "usefully technically employed ceiling", but rejected that one.
Tony M Jun 13, 2017:
@ Asker Darn it, i've had this before. I'm sure your idea is right, though from vague recollection, I think it goes a bit more than this; I've a feeling they may even be talking about one of those heat-radiating ceilings...
I believe when I researched it before, I didn't ever find a single term in EN that quite covered it... but good luck hunting!
B D Finch (asker) Jun 13, 2017:
Considering: "integrated technical services ceiling"
However, I only find a small number of Google hits for this and, while I am prepared to innovate, if there is a standard GB term, I'd rather use it.
