Not sure of exact UK equivalent, but I found the following on the GDT:

leave in French and gloss if necessary
and whatever you do, avoid "simplified joint stock company" which is utterly meaningless ("joint stock company" is a term used only by translators - in the real world it has been obsolete since the nineteenth century).
