I have no idea what we are talking about, and what goes for context really doesn't help.
But thinking about this "cassette pré-amortisseur" and the fact that "cassette" suggests it is three-dimensional, whatever it is, I wonder if "voile" here does not have the meaning it often has in construction and civil engineering, of "wall". It could be some sort of "stiffener" inside this "cassette", only not so stiff that it will not crumple under impact.
Is this "amortisseur" related to shock absorbers or crash absorbers, say?
