The following text appears in a warranty policies document:
Vehicles are excluded from warranty if the recommended service interval has not been adhered to. Note: Routine maintenance services shall be carried out within 500 miles of the distance specified. ***Latitudes of service intervals may not be carried forward***.
I think it probably means: "service intervals may not be changed"

It means that if a service is done beyond (or earlier than) the intended mileage, the next service is still due at the designated miles +/- 500. IOW, being 'late/early' once does not shift all subsequent serices to a later/earlier mileage.
e.g.: assuming services are due at 5000-mile intervals:
Service 1 is done at 5500 miles (maximum over-run)
Service 2 is still due between 9500 and 10500 miles, not between 10000 and 11000 miles.
e.g.: assuming services are due at 5000-mile intervals:
Service 1 is done at 5500 miles (maximum over-run)
Service 2 is still due between 9500 and 10500 miles, not between 10000 and 11000 miles.
