Fortunately for would fit

'Fortunately for' would certainly fit. Do you have any other context? This could certainly be used, say, if you were using Bill's on-road parking space during the winter whilst his car was kept in the garage, something like that.

Many thanks, Victoria. Without any further context, "fortunately for" made no sense to me at first.
