agree Joe L : Yes!

agree RHELLER : agree with NO! but I differ on worth/valued; some items are priced high, does not mean that it is worth that much.

agree Sophia Hundt (X) : Agree - and I would choose the first of your suggestions (the simpler the better).

agree Suzan Hamer : also agree with Rita re: price/value. You could say, if it suits the context better, priced at over/more than $2,000. Ah, I see Rita gives that same option below.

not for grading -more options

he was wearing a wristwatch that costs more than $2000!

or
it cost him more than $2000

or
the price tag for that wristwatch is over $2000

it is priced at more than $2000

value and price are not necessarily related

there are some handbags made of nylon or imitation leather being sold at outrageous prices nowadays - their value is really low

to craig:
who is saying that it has to be formal? what's good or bad english? isn't it a rather personal judgement? your comment is lengthy but without any substation or linguistic value i am afraid...
the question was - whether it was possible to say so - and my answer is - yes (although it is non-standard english)

to say that is impossible to say so is simply erroneous...
Peer comment(s):

disagree Craig Meulen : your first two examples seem very informal, and although the second reference is a more useful one, this is simply bad English, even if you can find examples of people using it.
