I do not understend what is the difference between waffle wheels and pressed wheels. How are the waffle wheels made?

Here are some links to the waffle wheels:

To Kenneth Cox: I'll follow your suggestion to e-mail the contact person. Thanks :-)

There may not be a difference, since one of your links refers to a "press-fitted waffle".

wheels with waffle webs

A bit of a guess. A wheel essentially consists of a central 'disc' (the web) and a roughly cylindrical rim (on which the tyre is fitted). IMO a waffle wheel has the web formed as a waffle structure (3D) instead of 'plain' structure (such as a steel pressing), so it is much more rigid for the same weight.

If you really want to know, why don't you phone the person mentioned in your second ref (or send him an e-mail)?
