English term

corporate communications vs. corporate communication

Non-PRO English Marketing Advertising / Public Relations
Hi,
What is the difference between "corporate communications" and "corporate communication"? Which one is used when? Which one would be used to name the division in a PR company?
Thanks

agree with Jonathan - PR dept. = corp.communications, while singular can be one news bulletin/communique or communication in general
Jonathan MacKerron Nov 12, 2009:
in certain cases corporate communication = Unternehmenskommunikation im allgemein
corporate communications = die entsprechende Abteilung

corporate communications

I'm not too sure of this, but it seems to me that "communications" means messages of various kinds - emails, phone calls, letters - whereas corporate communication would mean communication between corporations, and so I think "communications" is perhaps more likely for a PR firm.
