Đây là hệ thống được sử dụng rất nhiều trong chế tạo hộp số ô tô, xe tải và một số máy móc khác. Thực ra chữ "hệ thống truyền lực" có ý nghĩa bao hàm không chỉ hộp số, mà còn cả hệ thống dẫn lực từ hộp số tới bánh xe. Cho nên em đề nghị dịch là "hệ thống bánh răng truyền lực", như vậy cụ thể hơn.
