Remotely adjustable chokes have panels with position indicators that read from fully open to fully closed with markings in between. The Cameron choke handle is moved to the right to open the choke. The Swaco choke handle is moved to the left to make an opening adjustment. Make sure you know how to use your equipment before handling a kick. (Another good reason for conducting Choke Drills)

Cameron y Swaco son marcas registradas de válvulas de estrangulación (casi siempre recuperables). Estas válvulas se utilizan en sistemas de subacuaticos petroleros. Las válvulas de estrangulación reducen la sección transversal de la tubería de conducción aumentando así la presión del sistema. The Cameron Willis CC40 Retrievable
Insert Control Choke is utilized to regulate
flow during production operations.
This choke is 4-1/16” 10,000 psi WP
with studded inlet and flanged outlet.
It incorporates a unitized trim cartridge
and actuator assembly which can be
retrieved to the surface, leaving the chokebody subsea.
The assembly latches to the
choke body via a crown connector. The
connector’s locking fingers provide a
secure connection and require minimal
clearance for installing and retrieving the

plug and cage trim allows maximum
