Discussion

Luisa Ramos, CT Nov 15, 2009:
Google it There are plenty of Web sites explaining the "color me" expression; its origin, first uses, examples, and the like. Used in conversation it means "I am", as in "you can say I am impressed", "you can describe me as impressed", or simply "I am impressed". For instance, "color me in" could be translated as "cuenta conmigo", "yo voy", "anótame". Or "color me in love" could be "estoy enamorada".

Another use is related to kids learning to represent emotions by using colors but that would not be slang.

mírame, estoy impresionado

"Color me" is equivalent to "look at me, picture me, imagine!"... So, one possible version would be: Mírame. Another version, quite common in Venezuela, is: ¡Fíjate tú!
