disagree Scott Rasmussen (X) : Right about being specific, which is why I said you'll have to describe how it's prepared. Anyway, this is not the only "Jamaican style" chicken dish. And what does such a term tell us w/o elaboration?

pollo adobado...

I know JA well, and all the rest of the Caribbean. This term is nearly impossible to translate. Better just to describe it (pollo adobado con chiles habaneros...).

Yeah, but notice that they don't even mention the scotch bonnet pepper--the essential element. It's even more difficult because I think the scotch bonnet and habanero are of the same species, but are different cultivars. Not so easy, after all!

neutral George Rabel : Agree with Gabriel`s comment. BTW, Scotch Bonnet and Habanero look the same, but the SB has a distinctive, fruity bouquet thet the Habanero lacks. Cheers!
