Corvina (de Argentina y el Atlántico) What about the Argentina corvina? I've found drum, croaker, weakfish, sea bass, but no specific reference to an Atlantic species. Can anyone help? Thanks.

Thanks a lot Carlos. However, please notice that the common name can vary by country. In Spain we call it "merluza negra", but in Chile they seem to call it "bacalao de profundidad". Please take that into account! :-)

Algunas posibilidades, dependiendo de la especie:
- Black sea bass (Centropristis striata): "sábalo del Canadá"
- Giant sea bass (Stereolepsis gigas): "bajo de mar gigante"
- Chilean sea bass (Dissostichus eleginoides): "merluza negra".

Y seguro que habrá más especies....

¡Gracias AV! Finalmente parece que es algún pescado que comió el asker en Chile. En términos chilenos, al parecer "bacalao de profundidad".
