English term

Somewhat satisfied

Non-PRO English to Spanish Tech/Engineering Computers (general) survey about IPTV
To translate the following satisfaction scale on a survey:

Very dissatisfied
Somewhat dissatisfied
Somewhat satisfied
Very satisfied

I was hesitating between "algo satisfecho" and "más bien satisfecho". The problem is, whatever I choose for "satisfied", I have to use the same term for the "dissatisfied"(this being market research, the two sides of the scales have to be evenly balanced). Although I thought "algo descontento" sounded ok, for some reason "algo satisfecho" doesn't sound as good to me. Likewise, although "más bien satisfecho" sounds alright, I wasn't too sure about "más bien descontento". What do you think?

Discussion

Non-ProZ.com Apr 12, 2005:
For my context I decided upon "algo satisfecho", though other options would have also worked. Thanks to all for your helpful suggestions and explanations!
I would say that "satisfaccin del cliente" is a quite common expression in market research and marketing in general, and not only when talking about sex or food.
JoseAlejandro Apr 12, 2005:
I won't add to the long, long list of "suggesters", but I do have a question: doesn't "conforme" sound better than "satisfecho"?...it almost sounds like you're talking about food or sex...unless, of course, you ARE...

Más bien satisfecho

I think I would prefer your choice. On the other hand, being a "satisfaction" scale, I would keep the too sides consistent and say "más bien insatisfecho".

Satisfecho con reservas

Por "somewhat satisfied" entiendo alguien que se declara satisfecho pero con ciertas "reservas"... es decir "hasta cierto punto"

Por debajo de "muy satisfecho".
