4. Phenol Standard Linearity Solutions - Pipet the appropriate volume of Phenol Working
Standard Solution into separate 50 mL volumetric flasks. Pipet 5.0 mL of Internal
Standard Solution into each flask. Dilute to volume with water and mix well.
5. Phenol Stock Check Standard Solution - Prepare a 9000 ppm solution of phenol in
water. For example: Accurately weigh approximately 0.90 g of Phenol Reference
Standard into a 100 mL volumetric flask. Add 25 mL of isopropanol to the flask.
Dissolve in and dilute to volume with water. Mix well.
6. Phenol Dilute Check Standard Solution (450 ppm phenol) - Prepare a 1 in 20 dilution of
the Phenol Stock Check Standard Solution in water.
