Duty of care

A duty of care is present when there is a certain person that has a responsibility towards somebody. It is for example an obligation that sports centres provide a duty of care towards the clients paying the centre for a service.

Responsabilidade que um prestador de serviços tem de prestar auxílio (primeiros socorros) em caso de emergência aos seus clientes.

Yes...you are right but the fact is that unless you choose "Other" you don't have much choices when you choose the broad field for your question. So, as this is a matter both legal and medical (related with sports accidents), I posted the question like this. Sorry ;)

Wrong theme, then? I think that what «disturbed» all of us was the theme «Law/Patents - Medicina: Saúde» presented as a title and the reference to «(primeiros socorros)». You should probably choose another theme (Sports?), since this one is not the most adequate. It has nothing to do specifically with medical care...

Obrigada Diana! O termo não é exclusivo de facto a profissionais de saúde nem a cuidados de saude. O meu contexto é precisamente de um fornecedor de serviços de desporto de aventura que tem a obrigação legal de prestar assistência aos seus cliente em caso de um acidente. Inicialmente pensei na "Responsabilidade civil" mas estou com dúvidas...
