bite point

English to Portuguese Social Sciences Education / Pedagogy CHILDREN
"Do keep in mind that the process of becoming more assertive and findind the delicate bite point between confidence and aggression is one that children can take a while to perfect."

bite point = sabem me dizem se é alguma expressão idiomática? Não estou a conseguir "captar" o sentido...

acceptance

In the sense that has to be forced on their education to be accepted.

''the delicate bite point between confidence and aggression'' is, to me, written in an idiomatic form; according to what I read:

One could think in terms of the parallel between the fish and the fish bate. If the fish is hungry enough it will bite! - ''bite point'' = a isca, PT

It is expressing and stating a point, and that is, a parallel to accept (the teachings) or to revolt against these!
