Since 2001: bilingual (Russian/English) teaching assistant in a Primary School in Manchester, UK.
Duties: Supporting Russian children in the classroom by translating, reinforcing and explaining what the teacher says. Supporting children doing their tasks in class.
Supporting children outside classroom, teaching them basic English, helping with reading, spelling, numeracy, etc.
Supporting newly arrived Russian children who don't speak English. Interpreting in parents evening, translating letters for parents.

Para mim, bilingual teaching assistant, é um termo muito pomposo para significar simplesmente intérprete. Contudo, se for mesmo necessário uma tradução, "assistente bilingue (Russo/Inglês)" é mais do que suficiente.
E claro que o termo em Pt-Pt é BILINGUE.
