Steps:
1. Make sure the wall is clean and dry. Paint base coat in desired colors. Let paint dry.
2. Draw a design on the wall with light pencil markings. Use a carpenter's level or straight edge if needed.
3. Mask off areas using small pieces of painter's tape.
4. Pour out an amount of the first desired paint color onto disposable plate.
5. Dip the tip of the stencil brush into the first color. Using a circular motion, blot the brush onto a folded paper towel until the bristles are almost dry.
6. To apply paint to the wall, brush paint onto the wall in a vigorous, wide, circular motion, working in a small area at a time. Change the directions of the circular motions frequently, overlapping the paint onto the painter's tape. This technique is known as scumbling.
