I am surprised that they do not use the phrase "best practice", the phrase that everyone uses today. If you enter "best practice" under Alta Vista, you can browse through nearly 150,000 hits. In German the phrase

As everyone knows and uses "best practice", there must be a good reason why your author did not choose to use it. "good" also sounds better in your context than "best". You should probably not use "beste" either.

There are two meanings for the English phrase "good business practice":

"Sensible/practical/reasonable/efficient/economical business practice" but also "Ethical/honorable business practice". Your context, of course, refers to the former meaning. The second meaning is often translated as "gute or lautere or redliche Geschäftspraktiken/praxis".

"gute Geschäftspraktiken" could also be used for the first meaning, but it seems a rather lazy translation and is only used at these sites:
