Our fleet will be 15 vessels strong and offer more than 30,000 lower berths...
Je ne suis pas sûre du sens? Postes d'amarrage? Mais pourquoi "lower"?

The question is, do French specs give the number of "couchettes inférieures"? I've found "lits", but would this be "supérieurs et inférieurs confondus"?
siragui Sep 21, 2007:
A quick web search indicates that in English, boats are commonly characterized by their number of "lower berths" WHETHER OR NOT there is an "upper berth" : "All cabins have private facilities and either two lower berths or a lower and an upper berth."

oui mais ils parlent souvent de "lits" quand ils veulent dire "chambres" ou "cabines"

lits

Not totally satisfying, but since there may be several beds per cabin, you're not counting cabins here. I'm regarding the potential existence of "upper berths" in some cabins as being of secondary importance, and not worth counting (see all my above remarks).
