Here is the following dialogue :
A: The material we're stuck in slows me down when I want to talk. It's tiring; I think I’m gonna take a break.
B : And yet, it’s chewy.
A: He came to save me! Where is he?
B: No, I mean the material's chewy texture should allow you to talk.

It’s a word play: “Chewy” refers to both the substance they are stuck in and the nickname for “Chewbacca” from Star Wars. Since the same joke can’t be used in French, it requires some creativity in the translation.
All suggestions are more than welcome ....
