Core Pediatric Clerkship
Welcome to the Core Pediatrics Clerkship at Children's Mercy Hospital (CMH). This clerkship addresses the complex and challenging issues unique to the care of children and adolescence. During this rotation students will be exposed to all aspects of general pediatrics including preventive care, acute illnesses and care of children with chronic problems. This clerkship will also provide a foundation for those students who are interested in choosing pediatrics as a career. One month will be spent on the Inpatient floor at Children Mercy Hospital, two weeks in the outpatient clinic at Children’s Mercy rotation and two weeks in the well baby nursery at Truman Medical Center.

Discussion
L'étudiant a simplement le choix de l'année pendant laquelle il le fera.
Les étudiants doivent, au cours de leurs études, également choisir des options d'heures de cours à suivre en plus, toutes "spécialités" confondues.
Si l'étudiant a choisi de les faire en pédiatrie, il est certain qu'il des connaissances plus approfondies.
Je vois que j'allais introduire le même lien que Drmanu qui oppose également core à optional.
Je ne vois pas d'autre traduction que la sienne : au diplôme obtenu, est ajouté un certificat particulier attestant que le gradué a suivi une formation plus approfondie en pédiatrie.
Ce qu'a fait un de mes neveux en Californie, où il est hyper spécialisé en pédiatrie.
Ceci pour ajouter des explications complémentaires à la raison de mon accord à la réponse de Drmanu.
Ceci également par opposition au diplôme de pédiatrie, obtenu à la suite de la spécialisation dans ce domaine.
