国内有一家出版社要重译Dickens全集，这里是其中的一个短篇，我觉得原来的中译本，水平已经很高，但是与英文对照起来读，有少数句子似乎理解上有问题，这里的to which I don't want to be hoisted like molasses at the Docks，原来的译文是：“我也不乐意像船坞里的沉积物，给搁浅在旅馆里”。这里有两个地方我觉得费解，一是molasses，二是hoist，究竟是何义，请同行指教。
