開學前指導會/訓練
New students usually attend an orientation before they start schooling so as to familarize themselves with the learning environment.
I believe this is the same for the teachers. Before school starts, teachers, especially new teachers, attend an orientation to familarize themselves with the school, the learning resources, etc.

岗前培训
我当初当老师的时候参加培训,叫做"岗前培训". 后来在公司,人力资源部一说都叫"入职培训". 都差不多吧,其实现在香港那边的汉语和大陆汉语互相影响比较大,比如information,原来在大陆翻译成"信息",香港那边叫"资讯",但现在大陆叫"资讯"的也比较多.
