The asker selected 间隔年周游. This is certainly an acceptable translation. Many people do travel during their gap year, and when it is clear in the original English that the author is writing about a gap year spent traveling, 间隔年周游 will probably be clearer in Chinese than 间隔年.

That said, 间隔年周游 is not an acceptable translation of \'gap year\' in all contexts. Although many people travel during their gap year, the term actually refers to a year taken off between secondary school and university, regardless of how you spend it. Check an English dictionary.
