A strong, airtight and watertight zipper for high-pressure applications such as bags for shipping fresh water. The zipper teeth are embedded and secured in a plastic profile that seals when closed. The zips may be installed by radio frequency (RF) or hot air welding to polyurethane or PVC (polyvinyl chloride) coated fabrics and films and also may be glued or sewn to fabric. They are available in 4 different grades, from a heavy duty version for industrial use to an apparel version for diving dry suits. They are also used as storage containers for machinery in humid environments.
