I think what is meant here is that the last withdrawal of products is made from a series/batch before the next series is started up.

agree Dan Schioenning Larsen : often suppliers keep stock for customers and deliver products in batches, when the customer orders it... it could also be "order"

When the last one in the series is made, NN notifies for a new series. That should mean what the previous was about, if it was "ordered," or "requested." I would say "called-for" is the litteral meaning.
